Police in San Luis enforce issues with abandoned trailers

SAN LUIS -- Police in San Luis have been informing the community that authorities will be starting to enforce issues with abandoned trailers. The cost for the tow fees starts at $880.00.

Authorities are asking the community and the trucking industry to not leave trailers or trucks abandoned in areas in the city. The department says as a reminder do not park in residential areas.

The city is currently working with a local community partner to built a semi-truck parking lot area around the city, but for now they are permitting semi-trucks to park in an orderly manner that does not prevent emergency vehicle access or exit at the three dirt parking lots on E Street between Main Street and 4th Avenue.
